The Board of the Chamber of Accounts held a meeting on 23 May 2012 and discussed the opinion of the Chamber of Accounts on the draft Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on “Making amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2012”.
The opinion of the Chamber of Accounts was prepared in line with the requirements of the Article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Chamber of Accounts” and Article 12 of the Internal Regulation of the Chamber of Accounts. The main attention in the opinion focused on analyses of macroeconomic indicators of the economy of the country in 2012 and the factors impacting it, analyzing factors that are necessary for precision of the revenues and expenditure parameters of the state budget for 2012, as well as the proposed changes on the revenues of the state budget were analyzed basing on tax sources and payment types, the changes on the expenditures were analyzed in the level of sections and sub-sections of functional and economic classification. Also the conclusion of the Chamber on provision of more effective and efficient use from great flow of financial resources, and first of all directing them to the solution of social economic issues with of primary importance was reflected in the opinion.
The Board in its meeting widely discussed and approved the opinion, and the Chamber of Accounts made decision to present the draft Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on “Making amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2012” for discussion to the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
