The Milli Majlis [Parliament] of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall determine its regulations of work and establish its appropriate bodies, as well as elect its Chairperson and Deputy Chairpersons, organize standing and other committees, establish the Chamber of Accounts.

Mahammadali Bilal oglu Suleymanov

Mahammadali Bilal oglu Suleymanov was born on 7 August 1945 in Talistan village of Ismayilli District.

In 1967 he graduated the Accounting Faculty of Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after D. Bunyadzade. In 1990 he graduated the Baku Supreme Party School. He is PhD in Economics.

In 1967-1977 he worked as an accountant, a senior accountant, an inspecting accountant, a senior economist and head of the Planning and Finance Department at the Agricultural Production Office of the Ministry of Agriculture in Ismayilli District. 

In 1977-1978 he worked as general director of the Production Agrarian Association of the Azerbaijan USSR State Vine Growing and Wine Making Production Committee in Ismayilli District.

In 1978-1982 he was the second secretary of the Ismayilli District Committee of the Communist Party of the Azerbaijan USSR.

In 1982-1985 he was an instructor and an inspector at the Central Committee of the Azerbaijan Communist Party.

In 1985-1990 he worked as the chairman of the Executive Committee of the Council of People’s Deputies in Sabirabad District.

In 1990-1992 he was the chairman of the Executive Committee of the Council of People’s Deputies in Ismayilli District and the head of the district’s executive power.

In 1993-2001 he worked as a referent at the Cabinet of Ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

From 2003 he worked as a chief consultant, head of sector and head of department at the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan and since 13 July 2008 he has been the Chief of Staff of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He was awarded the Order of Honour and two medals.

He is married with five children.
