The Milli Majlis [Parliament] of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall determine its regulations of work and establish its appropriate bodies, as well as elect its Chairperson and Deputy Chairpersons, organize standing and other committees, establish the Chamber of Accounts.

                                                   Heydar Khanish oglu Asadov

Heydar Khanish oglu Asadov was born on 24 October 1959.

In 1978 he graduated the Faculty of Accounting of the Baku Soviet Technical Trade School.

In 1983 he graduated the Faculty of Accounting and   Economics of the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after D. Bunyadzade.

During his years of study at the Institute in 1978-1984 he worked as a worker, an accountant, a senior accountant and a senior controller.

In 1983-1992 he worked as a teacher and a head teacher at the Azerbaijan State Economic Institute.

In 1987 he defended his Candidate’s dissertation at Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov, obtaining a scientific degree of PhD in Economics.

In 1992-1995 he did doctoral studies at Marmara University in Turkey.

In 1995 he was appointed the Deputy Minister of Finance under the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In 1996-2007 he was the General Director of the General State Treasury under the Ministry of Finance and the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On 17 April 2007 he was appointed the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts by the decision of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He has authored 3 monographs and more than 30 scientific works.

He is married with three children.
